At the minute all businesses have an Energy Bill Discount added to their energy bills once they reach a certain threshold. The EBDS is a scheme that the government introduced and will automatically be applied to business energy bills, meaning you don’t have to do anything to receive this support.
Currently, all businesses can benefit from the EBDS, which the government introduced to replace the EBRS. However, this doesn’t give huge protection against energy bills. Some businesses may be able to get other support when struggling with your energy bills, depending on certain requirements and what type of business you run. The EBDS is the government's current support scheme for businesses. This was designed to help businesses when energy prices were a lot higher last year. It replaced the Energy Bill Relief Scheme in April. You do not have to do anything to claim the EBDS this will be automatically added to your bills when they reach a certain threshold.
